Free-Arm Deep-Throat (FADT) Press

This one-ton punch allows rapid hole punching in thermoplastic materials. With a 15" throat depth, it's great for hard to reach locations on AFO's and body jackets, as well as foam-covered or leather-covered materials.

Punched holes are cleaner with less burring and tearing than drilled holes. Since there is no rotating bit, the punch does not walk, slip, or tear at foam lining. Putting clean-cut ventilation holes in lined shells is no longer a messy "drill and burn" process, but a single, quick punch. Both safety and precision are improved.

New Riveting Capabilities give the FADT™ Press more versatility in your O&P facility. It can form the shop head and manufacturing head of aluminum, copper, and some steel rivets, as well as set speedy rivets.

It is available with a manual lever-actuator (below) or as a foot operated pneumatic punch (above). The quick release lever makes changing punch sizes easy and fast (about 10 seconds).

On the Pneumatic option, a specially designed, two stage foot actuator allows for accurate positioning of the work piece before punching the holes. The new Auto Shut-off cuts the air supply on the pneumatic option during tooling changes.
