Durability Testing

Gait Simulation Test Machine

The Gait Simulation Test Machine ("GSTM") was developed by Tamarack's Engineering Department to simulate the walking motions or "gait" of a human being; allowing us to test Tamarack ankle joints under measurable gait cycle patterns.

Rotating Durability Test Machine

The Rotating Durability Test Machine ("Rotator") was developed to examine the longevity of Tamarack ankle joints. Weights are attached to the AFO in order to generate the basic axial and torsional stresses that occur during typical product use.

Moment of Assist Test Machine

Tamarack's Moment of Assist Test Machine was developed to record and analyze the effects of prolonged joint flexion and extension and its subsequent loss in "moment of assist" over time.
