How to install the ShearBan™

IMPORTANT: The patch of ShearBan® that will be installed should cover an area on the device that extends 1/2 inch beyond the perimeter of the area of the distressed skin. Ensure the receiving surface is clean and free of body residue. Rubbing alcohol can be used for the cleaning of most surfaces.
The pressure sensitive adhesive bonds extremely well and is surprisingly resistant to peeling. When applying ShearBan™, take care to place the piece correctly.
FIRST Trim ShearBan® to the desired shape and size, rounding all corners.
THEN If the surface being covered is flat or cylindrical…
- Peel the ShearBan® away from the release paper, exposing the adhesive.
- Apply the ShearBan® patch onto the desired location of the device. Press firmly to secure. For fibrous or fabric surfaces, the adhesive will bond best if the patch is warmed during application.
