Case #1 Partial Foot Device for High-Level Ambulators

Featured in The Academy Today, February 2008 (Vol. 4 No. 1) as a supplement to The O&P EDGE.

In this case study, Tamarack Dorsiflexion Assist Joints were used in a device, allowing free plantarflexion and dorsiflexion stop. The patient, a young, healthy lisfranc amputee displayed marked improvement in their functional ability, using the lightweight device.

Case #2 Friction Management Technique for Patient with Diabetic Ulcers

Featured in Tamarack Designer newsletter (Issue 1, Winter 08)

This case highlights the use of Friction Management Techniques using ShearBan®.
Patient: 67 yr male with Type II Diabetes, ulcers, ray amputations
Results: Mr. X was seen for follow-up of orthotic management every two weeks after the initial visit, and remained compliant wearing his shoes and inserts full time.
